Privacy Policy

Minti ("we", "us", or "our") is a group scheduling app at minti.me. We take your privacy seriously and keep things simple. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data we collect

• Email address — collected when a poll creator provides it. Used only to send notifications about their poll (e.g. when someone responds).
• Name — optionally provided by respondents when they fill in a poll. Shown to the poll creator as part of the results.
• Google Calendar data — only when a poll creator explicitly clicks "Sync Google Calendar". We read upcoming events (read-only) to help pre-fill busy times on the scheduling grid. See Section 5 for details.
• Usage data — basic, anonymised information like page views, used to improve the product. We do not use persistent tracking cookies.

2. How we use your data

• To send poll-related email notifications (e.g. "someone responded to your poll").
• To display poll results to the poll creator.
• To automatically mark busy times on the availability grid when a creator syncs their Google Calendar.
• To improve and maintain the Minti service.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Third-party services

We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate Minti:

• Resend — used to deliver transactional emails (e.g. poll creation confirmation, response notifications). Your email address is passed to Resend solely to send these emails. See Resend's privacy policy.
• Google OAuth / Google Calendar API — used when you choose to sync your calendar. See Section 5.
• Base44 — our app infrastructure and hosting provider. Data is stored securely on Base44's platform. See Base44's privacy policy.

4. Cookies

We use only essential, functional cookies required to keep the app working (e.g. session state, dark mode preference). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

5. Google Calendar access

Minti offers an optional feature that lets you connect your Google Calendar when creating a poll. Here's exactly what happens:

• You click "Sync Google Calendar" and are taken to Google's own sign-in page to grant permission.
• We request read-only access (calendar.readonly) — we can never modify or delete your calendar events.
• We fetch your upcoming events (next 14 days) solely to pre-fill your busy times on the poll grid.
• This data is used immediately and is not stored on our servers beyond the duration of the request.
• Connecting your calendar is entirely optional. Minti works fully without it.

Minti's use of Google Calendar data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

6. Data retention

• Poll data (title, options, responses) is retained as long as the poll exists. Creators can delete their poll and all associated data at any time from the admin dashboard.
• Email addresses provided during poll creation are kept until the poll is deleted.
• Google Calendar data is processed in real-time and not stored after the sync completes.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Delete your data — poll creators can delete their poll (and all responses) directly from the admin view. You can also email us to request deletion.
• Correct inaccurate data by contacting us.
• Revoke Google Calendar access at any time via your Google account permissions.

8. Children's privacy

Minti is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top. Continued use of Minti after changes means you accept the updated policy.
