Terms of Service
Last updated: March 2026
Welcome to Minti! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of minti.me and any related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using Minti, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
We've tried to keep these Terms straightforward and human-readable. If something is unclear, just ask us at hello@minti.me.
1. Acceptance of terms
By creating a poll, submitting a response, or otherwise using Minti, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and that you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you're using Minti on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
2. What Minti does
Minti is a free group scheduling tool. It lets you:
- Create availability polls and share them with a link.
- Collect responses from participants who mark their available times.
- View results and find the best time that works for everyone.
- Optionally connect your Google Calendar to auto-detect your busy slots when building a poll.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We'll do our best to give you notice when changes are significant.
3. Your responsibilities
When using Minti, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information (e.g. your name or email) when required.
- Use the Service only for its intended purpose — scheduling and availability coordination.
- Keep your poll admin link private. Anyone with the admin link can manage your poll.
- Respect the privacy of others — only share polls with people who expect to receive them.
- Not misuse or attempt to disrupt the Service in any way.
4. Google Calendar integration
Minti offers an optional Google Calendar sync feature. Here's what you should know:
- Connecting your Google Calendar is entirely optional — Minti works fully without it.
- We request read-only access. We can never create, edit, or delete your calendar events.
- Calendar data is fetched in real-time to pre-fill your busy slots and is not stored on our servers after the sync completes.
- You can disconnect Minti's access to your Google Calendar at any time via your Google account permissions.
Our use of Google Calendar data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
5. Prohibited uses
You may not use Minti to:
- Spam, harass, or send unsolicited messages to others.
- Collect or harvest personal information from other users without their consent.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
- Use automated bots, scrapers, or scripts to abuse the Service.
- Engage in any activity that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others.
- Impersonate another person or entity.
We reserve the right to remove content or terminate access for anyone who violates these rules.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
Minti is provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranties of any kind — express or implied. We don't guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. We also can't guarantee that poll links will always be accessible or that data will never be lost.
We do our best to keep things running smoothly, but we can't make promises about uptime or reliability for a free service. Use Minti for scheduling — don't rely on it for anything mission-critical.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Minti and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service — including but not limited to loss of data, missed meetings, or any other losses.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (which, for most users of our free service, is $0).
8. Changes to the service and these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we'll try to provide additional notice (e.g. via email to poll creators). Your continued use of Minti after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
We may also change, pause, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We'll try to give reasonable notice, but aren't obligated to do so.
9. Termination
You're free to stop using Minti at any time. Poll creators can delete their polls and associated data from the admin dashboard.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service for anyone who violates these Terms, or for any other reason at our sole discretion, with or without notice. If we terminate your access, any obligations you have under these Terms survive termination.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.
